Daily Panorama Wing Wah Buffet Table Next to Food

Apparently – and according to our young son – the ‘Ninjas’ live here. I think they’re hiding behind the ornamental panel seen in the panorama.

As with any buffet – or binge drinking session – the amount you’ve actually consumed quickly gets forgotten. I do remember having three duck wraps, three satay sticks and two (ahem) slices of cherry gateux though.

The ninja watcher consumed nigh on 16 coloured jellies, 3 dollops of ice cream and very little savoury (chips and noodles, sometimes wrapped in a duck wrap, sometimes not).

All part of our Birmingham holiday.

Daily Panorama Kitchen Envy

Note: I’ve got to be careful what I say about this kitchen as the owner of it might just be reading this… erk….

But seriously though, the only thing missing from this kitchen is Kevin McCloud doing his moving hand thingy and foaming at the mouth. It’s a lovely kitchen and indeed, so is the rest of the house.

Just before you think The Randwich has gone a little interiorsy, this is the kitchen of a great friend who we had a lovely weekend with. Okay, the weekend rain and wind was evil, but it was a pleasure spending time inside this house, all lovely and warm (read ‘uncomfortably hot’).

Many thanks to our hosts.

P.S. Is it just me, or does elements of the kitchen look slightly Kubrickian when flattened out like this?

Daily Panorama Push Me

This is the result you get when you ask someone to push you around on a thing that goes around and they do it wwwwaaaayyyy too fast.

‘a little to the left’ ‘go right’ ‘slow down, PhotoSynth can’t keep up’ (repeat until park is shut or light has gone)

Daily Panorama Waterfall at Penllegare Woods, Penllegare, Swansea

Well, what a place! Must say that I’m annoyed with myself that I haven’t been back to this place since I was a child. However, now I know how great it is and how brilliant it is for children, I will return oh Penllegare Woods.

Oh, and since when has been it been Penllegare and not Penllegaer? Or have I always been Welsh place name dyslexic?

Weekly Playlist

Friday again already, so another playlist for your listening…umm…pleasure? Some fun songs here – doing it the Youtube way means I can pick out live versions where possible, so you get some pretty shoddy recording, but a nicer feel. Also, who knew David Byrne covered The Man Who Loved Beer? Not I, but it’s a pretty faithful rendition if you want to find it on the ‘Tube.

Cow – Sparklehorse
Missing Children – Teddy Thompson
Siren Song – Bat for Lashes
Live With Me – The Rolling Stones
Everything Means Nothing to Me – Elliott Smith
The Man Who Loved Beer – Lambchop
Dress Like Your Mother – Sleeper
Opus of Regret – Chrome Hoof
Loser – Beck
10:1 – Rogue Wave

Daily Panorama Noah’s Yard in HD

Okay, it’s not HD, but it this was done on an iPhone 4GS. Someone else’s iPhone 4GS with a nice clean unscratched camera.

This was photographed in the back room downstairs in Noah’s Yard, Swansea. It was a great sunny evening – if a little cold – and the little uns wanted an ‘adventure’. The concept of visiting a pub to one of our little uns is possibly the most exciting (and adult) thing in the world to do. I don’t know how we feels about wine bars, but I was reluctant to tell him that he’d been short changed slightly.

Whatever, he had a real lemonade and lovely time smashing hitting the keys on the old typewriter. The smaller nipper loved the cwtch seat and her juice. The wife had a ginger beer.

And me? Peroni… mmmmm.
